Master class on knitting winter hats. Crochet hat: a simple pattern. How to crochet a hat? Women's winter knitted hats

A women's knitted hat is one of the most popular accessories at any time of the year. It can be of various shapes and sizes, made with knitting needles from various materials.

It all depends on individual preferences.

One thing is certain - any novice needlewoman can knit such a headdress.

There are different types of hats

1. A wide-brimmed knitted hat is relevant in the warm season. As a rule, it is made from cotton yarn. Can be decorated with ribbons, bows and other decorative elements.

Hat "Stranger"

2. A cloche, in other words, is a small headdress with a small brim. This accessory, shaped like a bell, was popular in the 20s of the last century. These days, the cloche is coming back into fashion. Depending on the material, similar knitted hats can be found both in summer and winter.

There are many more different forms and types. However, the ones listed above are the most popular. When working on them, the main thing is to use rigid, fairly dense threads.

The biggest secret is the shape

Knitting hats begins with the secret of giving them a beautiful shape. Agree that no one wants to spend a lot of time and effort making a headdress that will ultimately look like a shapeless canvas with a brim. Therefore, even before starting work, you should take note of the basic methods and methods necessary to ensure that your knitted hat ultimately has the correct shape.

1. Starch and PVA. Heat a tablespoon of starch in a glass of cold water (do not bring to a boil). Sometimes starch solution is used in the form of a spray. As for PVA, it is better to dilute it in equal proportions, for example, 100 per 100 ml. A headdress made with knitting needles must be dipped into one or another solution, and then stretched on a pre-prepared frame. Use a jar or large plastic bottle as a frame. The fields will be supported by a cardboard circle placed on the main frame.

2. Thick fishing line or regilin, which are tied into the fields. Many people like this method of shaping better, since there is no need to repeat the previous step after each wash.

Knitting hats should begin by measuring the circumference of the head and calculating the appropriate knitting density. The following description of the work is designed for a head circumference of no more than 46 centimeters.

To work you will need:

circular, as well as stocking needles. The first should be of two sizes, namely 40 and 90 cm;

wire (thick fishing line or regilin);

starch solution;

embroidery needle;

100 grams of 100% cotton yarn.

Knitting hats of this model occurs from the top to the bottom. Don't forget to switch to circular needles at the right time.

So, cast on 8 stitches with knitting needles using the braided method. Next, you need to mark the middle and close the circle. First, a circular row is performed. This should be done with increases according to the following pattern: 1 knit stitch, then yarn over, 16 stitches in total. Next, perform row 1 with regular knit stitches. Now the row pattern is as follows: knit 2, then yarn over, 24 stitches in total. Knit the next round row with knitting needles using only knit stitches. The next row with increases according to the pattern: 3 knit, 1 yarn over, 32 stitches in total. Work again with only facial ones. Next, another round with increases according to this pattern: knit 4, 1 yarn over, 40 stitches in total.

It may seem that knitting hats is a tedious and uninteresting activity, which, of course, is not true. You won’t be repeating increases for long, and with 11 knit stitches and 1 yarn over, you’ll move on to the next stage of knitting. Just remember to knit an additional knit stitch on every 2 rounds during increases.

Work 1 round using stockinette stitches. Then the knitted hat switches to loops with broaches. The row is performed with knitting needles in this way: first the usual broach, then 10 knit stitches, then 1 yarn over. Repeat the pattern, and knit the next row with simple knit stitches. The above steps should be performed until the height from the cast-on edge reaches 10 cm.

Formation of fields

Knitting hats is an interesting activity. At the moment, half of the work has already been completed. Now we have to start forming the fields. This happens according to the following pattern: 12 stitches in satin stitch, 1 yarn over, 104 stitches in total. Then complete the row with only knit stitches. Next, the knitted hat is made in the usual way - by adding knitting needles and an additional knit in every 2 rounds. You need to complete the increase at the moment when you knit 24 stitches in satin stitch at the beginning of the circle. 1 row left with knit stitches. After this, you need to close the loops with knitting needles using the cord method.

Final stage

Your knitted hat is almost ready. Tuck the protruding ends of the threads and cut a piece of wire. A knitted hat has a certain brim circumference. This measurement will serve as a guide for the length of the wire. Add a couple of centimeters to the resulting value (to overlap the ends). Use the purl loops and the cord above it to attach the wire to the edges of the headdress. This should be done, of course, from the wrong side.

A knitted hat should have a shape. This is not difficult to do, because you learned about various methods and methods at the very beginning of work. Apply starch spray to the finished product and carefully iron the brim.

Ladies' cloche hat (crocheted)

Hat size: 56-57

You will need:

150 g of tone-dyed yarn (wool 15%, polyester 25%, acrylic 60%, 875 m x 350 g); hook No. 7;

for a flower brooch: 1 round silver rhinestone; a strip of tulle 20 cm long and 5 cm wide, a piece of silk; pin clasp.

The hat is knitted with 2 layers of thread, and it is necessary to unwind the yarn for the second ball in such a way as to combine the dyeing patterns of the two threads.

Completing of the work

Start working from the bottom. In a chain of 5 VPs, tie 9 RLS. Next, proceed to knitting the 2nd circular row, while doubling the number of loops (18).

Continue working the sc in a spiral, making 8 increments in the 3rd row, and 6 increments in each subsequent row, evenly distributing them around the circle until the number of loops reaches 56.

Next, knit without any additions. When the height of the crown reaches 17 cm, start knitting the brim. To expand the margins, make 8 increases in each row 2 times (72 sts), then knit 4 rows without increases. Complete the last row with a “crawfish step”.

Tie a chain cord from VP 70 cm long, stretch it along the border of the crown and brim and tie it with a bow.

For the lower tier of the flower, collect a ruffle from a strip of tulle, form it into a circle and sew it under the base of the petals. Sew a rhinestone into the center of the flower. Sew a pin on the wrong side. Attach the flower to the crown of the cap.

Hat with asymmetrical brim

Head circumference - 56 cm
You will need: Brilliant yarn (45% wool, 55% acrylic, 380 m/100 g) -100 g brown,

50 g melange yarn for finishing, hook No. 2.5.

Start working with double ply yarn.

Tie a chain of 2 chains. loops, perform 5 tbsp. b/n in 1st air. loop.

Then knit the 2nd circular row, doubling the number of loops (12 tbsp).

Continue working Art. b/n in circular rows (knitting loops on both walls), starting with 1 air. lifting loops and ending with a connecting loop, adding 6 tbsp in each row. b/n (see diagram).

Flower knitting pattern and hat pattern

When the diameter of the circle is 18 cm, knit another 8 cm without increments, then another 2 cm with variegated melange yarn.

For fields, dial an additional chain of air. loops 28 cm long, attach it to the crown, counting 22 cm from the beginning of the chain (see picture).

Continue working in circle st. s/n loops of chain and crown (28 cm + 32 cm), adding 8 tbsp. s/ for expansion in the 1st row.

Finish knitting when the brim width is 7 cm.

The brim can be raised up and pinned with a brooch, or it can be decorated with a crocheted flower (see diagram).

This hat was knitted in the Land of Mothers.

Description from Yesenia:

Through trial and error, I came to the conclusion that it is better to knit this type of hat with thick yarn in one thread (100-230 m in 100 g) or in 2 threads (150-200 m in 50 g), hook No. 4 -5! Due to this, she gets such an interesting shape, it’s not for nothing that the diagram was drawn (by the Japanese or Chinese) for 6 rows with increases, and then without increases! For this model, suitable yarn is “Alize LanaGold”, Pekhorka “Children’s Caprice” in 2 threads (I personally tried it), Vita “Brilliant” in 2 threads (I personally tried it), acrylic (depending on the footage, knit in 1 or 2 threads) and any other yarn, just look at the yardage and adapt to it!

According to this pattern, the first 5 rows of the hat are knitted - the bottom. I will give a description, as given in the diagram, for 18 STSN = 18 wedges. I am writing as I understood it and knitted it myself.

1 row. Dial 4 air. etc., close them in a ring or make an amigurumi ring so that the hole on the top of the head is not visible. Next we knit 3 air. lifting point, 17 STSN in the ring, connecting loop in the 3rd air. lifting point. At the end of the row there were 18 DCs.

2nd row. 3 air p. rise and in the same column we knit a relief stitch (in this pattern only facial relief stitches are used, as they are knitted), then we knit into the next column of the previous row - 1 STSN and 1 relief stitch into it, so until the end of the row. At the end of row 36 STSN.

3rd row. We start the row with a relief column (using a connecting loop we move to the relief one). 3 air p. rise (the beginning of the first wedge), then 1 STSN (in the next loop of the previous row), and then we knit 1 relief column into the relief column of the previous row, where we had 3 air stitches. lifting point, i.e. to the beginning of the first wedge (shown in purple in diagram 2). Then to the next relief column (the beginning of the second wedge) - 1 STSN, then 1 STSN (in the next loop), and then 1 relief column to the beginning of the second wedge. We knit like this until the end of the row. At the end of row 54 STSN.

4 row. We start the row with a relief column (the beginning of the first wedge) - 3 air. p. rise, 1 STSN (in the next loop), then knit 1 relief stitch in 3 air. lifting point (beginning of the first wedge), 1 STSN. Next we knit 1 STSN into the next relief stitch (the beginning of the second wedge), then 1 STSN, 1 relief stitch at the beginning of the second wedge, 1 STSN. We knit like this until the end of the row. At the end of row 72 STSN.

5 row. We start the row with a relief column (the beginning of the first wedge) - 3 air. p. rise, 1 STSN (in the next loop), 1 relief column in the first 3 air. p. rise, 2 STSN (in the next 2 loops, one STSN in each). Next, in the next relief column of the previous row (the beginning of the 2nd wedge) we knit 1 DC, 1 DC (in the next loop), 1 relief stitch at the beginning of the second wedge, 2 DC. So until the end of the row. At the end of row 90 STSN.

6th row. Let's move on to pattern 1. In this row, in the middle of the wedge, instead of one STSN, a relief column is knitted (drawn in blue on the main pattern). I knitted it like this. The beginning of the row from the place where the relief column was (the beginning of the first wedge) - 3 air. lifting point, 1 STSN (in the next loop), 1 relief column in 3 air. p. rise (to the beginning of the first wedge), then 1 STSN (in the next loop), and then in one loop we knit 1 STSN and 1 relief stitch (blue hook in the diagram) - we knitted the first wedge. Next we knit the second wedge (we skip one loop): 1 STSN in the next relief stitch of the previous row (the beginning of the second wedge), 1 STSN (in the next loop) and 1 relief stitch in the beginning of the second wedge, then 1 STSN (in the next loop), then in one loop we knit 1 STSN and 1 relief stitch. Next, to move to the 3rd wedge, you need to skip one loop. So you need to knit 18 wedges. At the end of row 108 STSN.

After the 6th row there are no increases!

Next, we measure the diameter of our circle, if it turns out to be the diameter we need (see in), then we continue knitting according to pattern 1 - 7th and subsequent rows. If the diameter of the circle is too small, then we need to continue knitting rows with increases (according to pattern 2) until we get the diameter we need!

7-N rows - crown of the cap. Crossed stitches are knitted in these rows. It is better to start the row with STSN, which goes to the relief column. In each subsequent row, you need to move one loop forward with a connecting loop, due to this, the relief paths will go diagonally, and the beginning of the row should always be made with STSN, which goes to the relief! At the beginning of the row - 3 air. p. rise in the STSN of the previous row, then you should have a relief stitch, but first you need to knit 1 STSN in a double crochet, which comes after the relief stitch, and then knit 1 relief stitch in the relief stitch of the previous row, then 1 STSN and again crossed column: first 1 STSN in STSN, which goes behind the relief one, and then we knit 1 relief column into the relief one. So until the end of the row, due to such crossing, our relief columns will go diagonally. At the end of this and subsequent rows there should always be 108 STSN! In this way, we knit as many rows as you need in height (keep in mind that the last 2 rows are also knitted with decreases) - this will be the crown of the hat!

N+1 - a series of decreases in the crown. We start from the place where you ended the previous row - 2 air. p., 1 unfinished double crochet (in the next loop), then knit together 2 air. p. and an unfinished double crochet (the top is common), then 1 relief column in the same relief column of the previous row - we knitted the first wedge. Next, 2 DC (one double crochet in each next loop), and then 1 relief stitch in the same relief stitch of the previous row - this is the second wedge. Next, decrease again: 2 unfinished double crochets with a common top (we knit one unfinished double crochet into each loop), then 1 embossed double crochet into the embossed double crochet of the previous row. We knit like this until the end of the row. At the end of row 90 STSN.

N+2 - a series of decreases in the crown. 3 air p., 1 relief column in the relief column of the previous row, then 2 unfinished double crochets with a common top, 1 relief column, 1 STSN, 1 relief column, 2 unfinished double crochets with a common top, etc. until the end of the row. At the end of row 72 STSN.

You can decrease them in one row at once by knitting 2 unfinished double crochets between the embossed stitches with a common top!

Hat brim. According to the pattern, 9 rows of STBN fields are knitted. In the 9th row, every 4 dc, 5 and 6 dc are worked together! The number of rows of fields as you wish. Tie the fields with a crawfish step or come up with something of your own!

According to the pattern, you need to knit 18 STSN = 18 wedges in the first row, I tried it with 18 wedges, it turns out that it “worries” a little, so I initially knit 14 STSN = 14 wedges in the first row! I started knitting with my own threads, only 2 threads, and I’m already happy with the result

The beginning of my knitting. I knit in the same way as described above, only with 14 DCs = 14 wedges, so below I show how many DCs I got at the end of each row!

1 row = 14 STSN

Row 2 = 28 STSN

Row 3 = 42 STSN

Row 4 = 56 STSN

Row 5 = 70 STSN

Having knitted the first 5 rows, the diameter of the circle was = 14 cm.

The diameter of the circle turned out to be = 17 cm, just what you need

Next, I will knit the 7th and subsequent rows, as I wrote in the description for the 7th row, without additions, with crossed stitches. I knitted the 7th row and the circle began to round out. As you can see, it wraps around to the front side, don’t be alarmed, continue knitting, when you have more rows of the crown knitted, it will wrap to the wrong side!

From the 8th row I will change the thread to melange!

The melange thread made 9 rows (without the last 2 rows with decreases), and a total of 16 rows = 17 cm

Next I knitted 2 rows with decreases. In the first row of decreases, I knitted 2 unfinished STSNs between the relief stitches (I decreased all the loops in one row at once), and knitted the second row like this: 1 relief stitch, 1 STSN, 1 relief stitch, 1 STSN and so on. The bottom of the crown has tightened and sits well on the head. In total there were 57 STSN at the end of the row. The height turned out to be 20 cm.

Cords for decoration can be viewed.

Crochet hats often start from the top of the head and, depending on the shape of the hat, increments are made according to certain patterns. There are three main types of hats

1.Classic round cap. At the same time, knit a circle with a diameter of 12 cm, making increases in each row. Then increases are made through the row to a size equal to the circumference of the head. And then knit without increments to the required depth of the cap.

2. The cap is slightly elongated. In this case, knit a circle with fewer increases. If you knit with single crochets (SC), then in the first row you start with 5 SC and make five increases in each row. If you knit with a double crochet (dc), then start with 10 dcs in the first row and make 10 increases in each row. Knit this way to a size equal to the circumference of the head. And then knit without increments to the required depth of the cap.

3. "Kubanka". Knit a flat circle to the desired head circumference. The diameter of such a circle is equal to the circumference of the head divided by three. Next, knit without increments to the desired height of the crown.

Methods for knitting a flat circle.

1. Knitting with single crochets (SC). Knit a chain of 5 loops and close it in a circle. In the first row, 6 sc are knitted, this circle is divided into 6 wedges and 6 stitches are added in each row. The increase is always made on the last column of the wedge. In this case, the wedges turn out to be symmetrical and the increase lines between them are noticeable.

2. Knitting with double crochets (dc). Knit a chain of 8 loops and close it in a circle. In the first row, 12 dc are knitted, the circle is divided into 12 wedges and 12 increases are made in each row.

3. Knitting with half columns (PS). Knit a chain of 6 loops and close it in a circle. In the first row, 8 stitches are knitted, the circle is divided into 8 wedges and 8 increases are made in each row.

Methods for performing increments.

1 way. The increase is performed on the last column of the wedge . The wedges are symmetrical and the increase line is noticeable.

Method 2. The increase is performed on the first column of the wedge. The increase line is noticeable.

3 way. Increases are made in each wedge so that they are not located on top of each other. Then the increase line will not be noticeable.

2nd method of making increases for RLS
